Kitzsteinhorn – Kaprun Ski Resort

There are some pretty epic ski resorts out there but Kitzsteinhorn – Kaprun is a actually legendary. It is the first glacier ski resort in Austria. The only glacier ski resort in the Province of Salzburg.

Kitzsteinhorn – Kaprun Ski Resort offers ‘winter’ skiing for a good half of the year, from mid-October to the start of May. So it’s a resort that offers the family flexibility and more options on when they can squeeze a ski trip in.

Unike other resorts, Kaprun is suited for the whole family. Beginners will feel at home on the many easy slopes in the winter sports resort and athletic skiers will find challenging spots on the “Black Mamba”. Kaprun also has  has great off-piste on powder days, perfect groomed slopes for intermediates, Austria’s biggest half pipe, modern lifts, a smaller family ski hill and glorious views across to Großglockner and the entire Hohe Tauern National park.

There are 41km of slopes and 8.9km if ski routes available.
