Aspen’s pedestrian malls are the perfect place for a leisurely shopping excursion where one can find fine art, clothing and gear. Aspen’s Saturday Market (every Saturday from June 13th through October 10th, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m) is another great draw and showcases locally grown produce and artisans while being a great place for socializing too. Live music is on hand to keep your spirits up as you shop around for a little bit of everything.
4. The skiing is next level
Aspen Mountain, and its famous black-diamond terrain, has kept the mountain on the map since 1947. In bounds Aspen Mountain offers a variety of glades, bumps and steeps. While the mountain hasn’t changed much, you’ll appreciate the new gondola, great views and food at the Sundeck at the summit and Ajax Tavern at the base, where the apres rivals the skiing and snowboarding.

The cool thing about Aspen is that there is approx 70 years of skiing history. There is so much history that you are skiing and riding the same runs that have hosted World Cup races for decades.
